Truck Spotting: Celebrity Chefs Dress Up Macaroni And Cheese for Sandy Relief

Mac-n-Cheese.  How do we love thee?   Let us count the ways . . .

An American comfort food classic, macaroni and cheese casserole has been a family dinner favorite for decades (if not longer).    Whether we grew up on the weeknight blue box, the frozen red & black box, or Grandma’s Sunday dinner masterpiece, many of us looked forward to every bite of cheesy, creamy heaven.

Over the coming two weeks, New Yorkers have a great excuse to indulge in the luscious decadence of cheese, cheese, and more cheese with pasta.

The Stouffers ® Food Truck will stopping at select locations in New York City to offer celebrity chef versions of Stouffers’ mac-n-cheese dish for $4.    The celebrity chefs will deliver their own inspired creations with freshly made pasta and 100% real cheddar cheese.    Yes, yes, yes!  The other ingredients & toppings for each celebrity recipe of the day will be revealed, well…daily.    But, we heard that some all-star variations slated for food truck’s  menu are: Chili Mac, BBQ Mac, Mex Mac, Veggie Mac and ‘Shroom Mac.

The Nestle® owned frozen foods company has pledged that 100% of the profits from the food truck’s revenue will be donated to the NYC Mayor’s Fund to Advance NYC and earmarked for Hurricane Sandy relief support.  So go ahead and grab a delicious hot bowl for a this great cause!

We found the schedule below on the Stouffers ® Food Truck event Facebook page.   For the latest updates and more information about the food truck’s offerings, visit: http://www.stouffers.com/nyc-truck.aspx.
